Growing up in New York shaped the way I see. The city taught me to notice layers - the relationship between people and architecture, movement and stillness, light and shadow, the deliberate and the unexpected. Those relationships continue to inform how I photograph today. I’m drawn to the balance between what is designed and what happens naturally within it.

The name Middle Grey comes from photography itself: the tonal midpoint between black and white, a point of balance used to understand light. I’ve always connected with that idea beyond its technical meaning. My work lives somewhere between documentation and interpretation. I want an image to feel composed without feeling constructed, elevated without losing its humanity.

Whether I’m photographing an intimate dinner, a portrait, a wedding, or a large-scale brand experience, I’m looking for more than the obvious moment. I’m paying attention to how a room feels, how design shapes an experience, how people move through a space, and the smaller gestures that give the larger story meaning.

My approach is clean and intentional, with a focus on honest color, thoughtful composition, and visual restraint. I’m not interested in imposing a style so heavily that the subject disappears beneath it. I want the photograph to preserve the character of what was actually there while giving it clarity, depth, and permanence.

Ultimately, I see photography as an act of refinement: observing what is already present, understanding what matters, and distilling it into an image that feels effortless, considered, and enduring.
